- All domestic flights, including Puerto Rico and St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. No birds there. No pets on international flights12

- Spirit Airlines does NOT accept animals as cargo or as checked baggage.2
Service animals and booking
- Service animals
- Service dogs only, free, up to two per guest. Submit the DOT Service Animal Air Transportation Form at least 48 hours before the flight.2
- How to book a pet
- Chat with Spirit to add a pet to the reservation. Book early. Check in at the ticket counter.1
- Emotional support animals
- Not accepted as service animals. They can travel as pets under the pet rules.2
